Not the Messiah[edit]

According to the Jesus page & Messiah page, Muslims do consider Jesus the Messiah. I did not add any new information to the page, I just moved things around. Plumber (talk) 13:29, 21 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If I do that, there won't be – as far as I can see – any link to my talk page. Antique Rose 11:49, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for replying. In Wikipedia, links to the same page are unlinked and bolded, and that's what happens to links on this page to this page. Take a look at your own signature on the version of this page of 03:49, 17 May 2017: "Drop me a line" is unlinked and bolded there too. If you want the link to your talk page to work even on your talk page, there is a workaround, and that is to add #top, like this:
<span style="color: #0000FF">Antique</span> <span style="color: #FF007F;">Rose</span> — [[User talk:Antique Rose#top|<span style="color: red;">Drop me a line</span>]] : Antique RoseDrop me a line

I'm confused[edit]

I noted today your edit to the infobox where you changed the date of the apprehension of Jodi Arias from July 15 to June 15.

The article says "On July 9, 2008, Arias was indicted by a grand jury in Maricopa County, Arizona for the first-degree murder of Alexander. She was arrested at her home on July 15 and extradited to Arizona on September 5."

Was Arias apprehended a couple of weeks before the July 9 indictment? Did she attend the indictment hearing? If she did, then she must have been released on bail and moved interstate (then extradited). Please don't regard these as dopey questions, because people unfamiliar with US legal systems are often bemused by goings on in them. Whatever, a July 15 date would seem justified in the infobox. Moriori (talk) 23:10, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You're absolutely right! My bad. I have reverted myself. Antique Rose 23:42, 4 December 2018 (UTC)

Maria Goretti[edit]

Hi Antique Rose. Regarding your removal of a link to the Insight episode, I thought I'd discuss before reverting your edit. The video is uploaded on YouTube by the copyright holder, so there's no violation of WP:YOUTUBE. It doesn't appear to be spam. I think it's informative and relevant, especially when compared to some other external links in the article. But you may have a reason I haven't considered. Thanks in advance for a reply. Sundayclose (talk) 21:25, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. A bot had removed the link before me, so I assumed that it was spam and/or irrelevant. Antique Rose 22:06, 8 March 2020 (UTC)

The Bulgarian IP vandalizing Stallone Filmography page[edit]

Hi there, thank you for intervening. This particular IP has been doing this consistently since 2019. I just figured I'd give you a heads up about it.Dibol (talk) 17:26, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I know. The IP is a tiresome disruptive sock puppet. Antique Rose 18:25, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi Antique Rose, per WP:BURDEN, please take a moment to add a reliable inline citation to the disputed entry at Sylvester Stallone filmography. Thank you very much in advance. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:51, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Roger Rabbit in Huey, Louie, Dewey article[edit]

Can you please explain what you find unsatisfactory about actually providing the exact quote from the movie Roger Rabbit that involves Huey, Louie and Dewey? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2a02:2121:28f:693c:30c8:d572:fe8a:c254 (talkcontribs)

You didn't provide a reliable source. Antique Rose 04:56, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
Is not the actual movie the "source" here? By this standard every single movie plot summary on Wikipedia would also have to be rejected as "unsourced." No other source than the actual movie is given. It is not "original research" to just quote or summarize something from a film or book. The relevant frame from Roger Rabbit can be seen here: https://kprapture.tumblr.com/post/618861982062411776/i-found-out-that-who-framed-roger-rabbit-is-on — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2a02:2121:28f:693c:30c8:d572:fe8a:c254 (talkcontribs)
Please don't turn this into an edit war if I change it back. The paragraph in question refers to HD&L appearances in various movies, and never is there any "source" provided except the reference to the movie itself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2a02:2121:28f:693c:5d90:3949:f512:e21a (talkcontribs)

Tags and block notices[edit]

Hi Antique Rose, I hope you're doing well. I wanted to ask you to please not leave sock tags and block notices on user talk pages, as you did here, since there are often good reasons for accounts to be left untagged, and leaving block notices on behalf of others strikes me as misleading. I have reverted the edits in question. Best, --Blablubbs (talk) 21:00, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

OK. :) But these multiple accounts are (suspected) sock puppets, right? Antique Rose 21:06, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

November 2021[edit]

Thinking about doing a GAN for Audrey Hepburn. Any interest is doing a co-nomination for GAN for this biography page? ErnestKrause (talk) 16:31, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That would be great! Do you think the article in question is stable enough? Antique Rose 20:44, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The reviewer has left a new set of edit requests on the review page. I may be away for a few days and was wondering if you might be able to try to make some progress through whichever edit requests might be known to you. Possibly you could get the list of edit requests started by adding whichever ones you might know about into the article. ErnestKrause (talk) 00:27, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The reviewers edit requests are listed here at Talk:Audrey Hepburn/GA2. The regular expectation is that co-nomination involves both co-nominating editors chipping away at the edit requests until the article is eventually passed as a peer review article. Are there any edits that you might be able to help with on the list which I have just linked above? ErnestKrause (talk) 15:09, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not hearing from you since last week and no edits at Audrey Hepburn. I sort of need to think that you are on Wikibreak or something like that and are not doing the co-nomination at this time. If you change your mind let me know. ErnestKrause (talk) 20:20, 12 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@ErnestKrause: I'm so sorry. I have been very busy IRL. But now, I'm ready to get into it. Antique Rose 08:02, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Paragraphing of Audrey Hepburn Lead[edit]

Hello - you reverted my addition of 2 more paragraphs in this lead. I just want to note that for several years, until September 20, the paragraphing was in the form that I restored it to. I don't know why someone changed it on Sept. 24 or so. If you look at the leads of numerous other top-level films stars (Cary Grant, James Stewart, Bogart, Gable, Kathryn Hepburn, Beete Davis, Ingrid Bergman) you will see paragaphing similar to what was there before Sept. 20 - usually 5 paragraphs. The paragraphing you have restored it to clearly has excessive length and merging of topics that made sense as separate paragraphs. Anyhow, maybe you will consider my thoughts. The article did have the 5 paragraphing format for several years. I think my point about the repetitious text is valid as well - compare to all the other leads I mentioned. 77.66.118.199 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.66.118.199 (talk) 23:39, 1 December 2021 (UTC) Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster, Henry Fonda, Paul Newman, Brando,[reply]

Hey, you've got a point! I have undone my edit. Antique Rose 19:44, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Pope Francis[edit]

Hello. Please, do not take any of my edits personal, I am just trying to contribute, and I like stylizing articles. Can you explain why you reverted me on Pope Francis? I didn't find anything in the MOS about *not* capitalizing the first letter of templates (I'm not being ironic, btw). Thanks. 7szz (talk) 01:34, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Judging from your contribution history you're apparently new to Wikipedia and its praxis. We are not supposed capitalize every imaginable letter just because we "like stylizing articles". Please do not continue this paltry edit war! Antique Rose 02:12, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

January 2022[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Lingerie. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Chaheel Riens (talk) 22:16, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why have I been visited upon with this template, I wonder? Antique Rose 22:31, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Because you made changes to an article, knowing they were contested, re-inserting an image that had been challenged and claiming I was inserting copyright violations when I wasn't. Speaking of such things - please re-visit the talk page to comment on my suggestions there, thanks. I have left your contribution in place simply to avoid further accusations of edit-warring, but that by no means should be taken as read that you have consensus or agreement over inclusion. Chaheel Riens (talk) 17:51, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Keep your hair on! Wikipedia does not have to be completed today. Antique Rose 21:51, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
