August 2022[edit]

Information icon Hi, I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of The Dawn of Everything several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:The Dawn of Everything, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. You should have begun a discussion on the talk page to gain consensus for the changes, not re-reverted. Schazjmd (talk) 14:16, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I do see that you've engaged in the talk page discussion, which is great; the above is just information to keep in mind the next time that you encounter resistance to your edits on an article. Schazjmd (talk) 14:35, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the warning; I made sure not violate WP:3RR. The dispute seems to have been solved in the talk page now. Antiok 1pie (talk) 20:36, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I've been watching the talk page discussion and article edits. It's great to see you all collaborating so well. Happy editing! Schazjmd (talk) 20:42, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't (and won't) revert since I regard my edit simply as interesting trivia, but I honestly don't see how the addition of a 7-word sentence to the article, with 6 of them being the same as in the source, was a copyvio. Antiok 1pie (talk) 20:56, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

AI editing[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Arab–Israeli conflict. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

The Barnstar of Diplomacy
Thank you for helping to clear the log-jam at Talk:Trail of Tears and your balanced additions to the Trail of Tears article. Good work. GenQuest "scribble" 22:14, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I appreciate the barnstar. Glad I could help balance the article. Antiok 1pie (talk) 01:53, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hamilton talk page[edit]

I just wanted to let you know that (the supposed) historian Porwancher posted a message on Talk:Alexander Hamilton about your additions to the section about Hamilton's relationship with Jews and Judaism. By the way, I trimmed down the entire article, which included your additions a while ago. Wow (talk) 12:56, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for notifying me, I had removed the page from my watchlist. Also, your edits are fine, that section seemed too big anyways. Antiok 1pie (talk) 16:55, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

December 2022[edit]

Your edit on Eric Foner on the James Madison page were really good. Possibly you can try to come up with better wording for the third and closing paragraph in the "Ratification" section of the James Madison article. If you could improve on the wording there in that section, then you could add your edit there and maybe take away the template tag there. Nice comment on Eric Foner. ErnestKrause (talk) 16:50, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on a biased choice of users' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote—in order to influence James Madison. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. Thank you. Freoh (talk) 16:55, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There is no canvasing here. It is an edit request. ErnestKrause (talk) 17:01, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you ErnestKrause. I'll try to find some sources and see if I can help. Antiok 1pie (talk) 17:22, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That was a really good attempt; User:Dhtwiki is asking that you adjust it a little based on his comments on the Madison Talk page, and I'm supporting you as well to try this and make a new edit in order to remove the section template tag. Nice going so far and Dhtwiki seems to also be supporting. ErnestKrause (talk) 15:55, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 6[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Economy of Nazi Germany, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wiley. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:05, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Antiok 1pie, please see primary. Interviews, first hand accounts, etc. are primary sources rather than secondary, even if they are published by an otherwise reliable source so Berkley Revolution is a primary source rather than secondary in this instance. I am not going to revert your change but did want to call attention to the difference between primary vs. secondary. S0091 (talk) 21:05, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. I'm aware that interviews are primary sources, but I was under the impression that the "Berkeley Revolution" source is secondary since it summarizes (and comments on) the primary source, i.e the interview. Antiok 1pie (talk) 21:19, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see where they commented on the rape or provided any analysis. That paragraph is only regurgitating what she states in regards to the rape as is the The Guardian. On another note, I am note sure the Peoples Temple of the Disciples of Christ section is WP:due so curious about your thoughts but likely better to discuss on the article's talk page. S0091 (talk) 21:30, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. I don't think it warrants a section of its own, but at the same time I don't think that there's any other place in the article where the section would fit. Antiok 1pie (talk) 22:22, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
