Hi! I'm Tails Wx, though you can call me Tails. I'm a two-tailed fox, Wikipedian, storm chaser, meteorologist, and weather analyst currently residing in Bloomington, Indiana.

I came to Wikipedia to understand the effects of the then-ongoing 2020 Atlantic hurricane season.

Off of Wikipedia, I fear of heights, and I am scared of lightning, even while storm chasing.

Unfortunately, I've had a rough early life. The other kids picked on me because of my two tails and, because I was shy, I was pushed around. Don't worry, though: I can fly, so really having two tails isn't that bad. Go away, kids-who-picked-on-me!^[9]

In sports, I mostly enjoy watching NFL, NBA, and Tennis.^[10]^[11]^[12]^[13]

I'm a Chicago Bears/Green Bay Packers fan.

Off of Wikipedia, I am a gamer. I play various games, including Stumble Guys and Defly.io.

I also gather data about the weather in the area, and conduct science and research experiments. I do, also hang out with with my friends. I also locally storm chase!

Storm chaser[edit]

Storm chasing in Bloomington, Indiana, where pea sized hail fell along with 45 mph wind gusts!

Some notable storms I have chased are the August 2020 Midwest derecho, June 2021 North American storm complex, and the Tornado outbreak of December 10–11, 2021, but I was unaware of a tornado sweeping through towns in Kentucky, including Mayfield, Benton, Princeton, Dawson Springs, and Bremen.

The closest encounter I have had with a tornado was the Tornado outbreak of March 31 – April 1, 2023, where I chased an EF3 tornado near Spencer, Indiana. This tornado, unfortunately, killed two people at McCormick's Creek State Park. The tornado was feared very intense, so the chase was called off early and took shelter.

In winter, I usually gather data and measurements. Some of the storms' data I have collected include Elliott, Landon, and Uri. The highest total I recorded was 8.5 inches (22 cm) inches of snow!

Weather analyst[edit]

One of my storm chasing images, which was taken in Gulf Breeze, Florida on March 17, 2023! Thereafter, I intercepted the incoming storms^[14] west of Molino, Florida!

The first storm I was hit by was Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Ever since then, I had a significant interest in weather analysting. Since early 2023, I am in Ryan Hall, Y'all's Discord and have done collaborations in there! Some storms I have tracked include Hurricane Sam, Hurricane Ian, Hurricane Nicole, Tornado outbreak of November 4–5, 2022, Tornado outbreak of November 29–30, 2022, Tornado outbreak of December 12–15, 2022, and that tornado and the associated dangerous tornado outbreak, and most recently, the Rolling Fork–Midnight–Silver City, Mississippi, Black Hawk–Coila–Winona, Mississippi, and Egypt–New Wren–Amory–Smithville, Mississippi tornadoes of the Tornado outbreak of March 24–27, 2023, all of which were destructive. I do also have CoCoRaHS and Spotter Network accounts!

Science[edit]

For example, I've taken measurements and experimented in a field in Castleton, Indiana!

I have done multiple experiments with biological cells, as well as estimate surface pressure as well! I also collect data from low-pressure systems as they produce accumulations of rainfall and snow, as well as just outside to measure the humidity, temperature, and more! I do also send damage and weather reports to the National Weather Service!

Gaming[edit]

I am a gamer across numerous game sites, including Defly.io, Paper.io, CrazyGames, Chess.com, Stumble Guys, Fortnite, Minecraft, PUBG, and others. I often go under the username InWxChasing or Tails Wx! The Chess.com is an exception: the username I go under is a randomly-selected username: Krzepoqqq, though it may have been named for a Polish town.

Wikipedia[edit]

I've been around since September 2020, and since the start of 2023, I've almost never had a day of no-editing!^[15] I have five permissions, all of which you can see on the top-right of my userpage! Click on it for more information!

You'll most likely see me around doing a handful of things, such as using Anti-Vandal to revert vandalism, reviewing new pages on the New Pages Feed, making copy-edits, editing tropical cyclone-related pages, responding to other users, and more!

Foundations[edit]

Sullivan, Indiana tornado damage, we've made donations to the victims there, including 70+ bags of supplies!

I'm going to start a foundation to help natural disaster victims and people who need help. We're still planning it, though, however we've made donations and handed supplies to victims of the Sullivan, Indiana tornado!

Travel[edit]

I've visited at least 30 states, most recently Florida! My most favorite are the western U.S. states, which includes California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and Kansas!^[16]

Video production[edit]

I have made several videos depicting memes and long-lived storms, including a QLCS that went through DFW on March 2, as well as editing theme songs to make them more fun and containing more memes! :)

Geography[edit]

I have typed all 196 countries in just 5 minutes and 13 seconds! It isn't a record, sadly. :(

The US Capitals? 1 minute and 42 seconds! The US States is at 1 minute and 22 seconds!

Miscellaneous[edit]

At sports, I am great at basketball, soccer, pickleball, badminton, and tennis! I am also a slightly experienced mechanic!
