I'm a right cunt lately, ain't I. Sorry. I'm going through shit and forget to disengage before I need to.
I am not a nice person. Wait, scratch that: I am a very nice person. But I have a low tolerance for bullshit, and this is Wikipedia, so waves hands wildly.
There is a simple vision for what Wikipedia should be, and I have it. It's not my fault if you disagree.
I was one of the core people who made the hurricane articles one of the powerhouses of Wikipedia.
I added 'ongoing trials' to current events.
I gnomed a lot of early work with the congressional delegations, and am now working on getting governor lists featured.
I am not Armenian.
I am not Azerbaijani.
I am not sympathetic to the Armenian cause.
I am not sympathetic to the Azeri cause.
I do admit a mild sympathy to the cause of Nagorno-Karabakh itself, as I am all for local government and being able to split from those with whom you have a grievance. Call it both the joy and naivete of being American; having no knowledge of revanchism or irredentism, we cannot comprehend it in others. I prefer this naivete to the alternative portrayed by the Armenians and Azeris on Wikipedia. They should try some of it, ignorance is bliss.
That said, I consider myself to be as neutral a party in the conflict over the articles as you will find. I have no dog in the fight. (and frankly, likely neither do the people fighting over the articles, but I digress)
I made hundreds, perhaps thousands, of maps of districts and divisions.
Right now I just check my watchlist every day and maybe spend a little time trying to work on a governor list.
I am an administrator, since September 29, 2004.
I have run for Bureaucrat twice and failed.
I have run for the Arbitration Committee twice and failed.
I don't run for anything anymore because I'm too jaded to be able to win.
I have a few featured images, and about a dozen featured lists.
The Haiti comment below is my favorite - if he's right, then I've objectively made the world a better place.
The RickK award below is also a favorite, because it honors one of Wikipedia's early greats who was driven away by an apathetic people.
I killedGabrielle Giffords, and I stand by that decision, as it was the correct, sourced one at the time.
Barnstars
I, Redwolf24 hereby award you this barnstar for several reasons: You have over 8000 edits, you're funny, any wikipedian who's been around for more than a week should recognize you, I haven't seen you being uncivil, and you are all around a great user.
I hereby award you the RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar for your heroic efforts in repairing and repelling the Willy on Wheels vandal — Bratschetalk5 pillars(KC)
"I am not 100% sure. I think that that map is the first one in whole Internet to be written in Haitian. Not in English, nor in French. That is amazing!"
The Editor's Barnstar
For noticing that a new comprehensive lead at Mario (that lived for only 8 minutes before it was dubbed vandalism by another Wikipedian, and reverted) was not actually vandalism, and subsequently reverting the reversion. Bugmuncher 03:51, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
