As another editor has noted, an awards page is a bit of a vanity project. But moving my awards here reduces clutter. Nonetheless, if anyone would like to leave me an award, please do so on my talk page. Also, feel free to check if I have a barnstar for a similar reason. Any barnstar will cause me to walk around with a big grin for a week, but I like to have some variety to pretend I'm well-rounded. Thanks.

Below are the awards others have seen fit to present to me for my contributions to Wikipedia.

Linger not, stranger; shed no tear;
Go back to those who sent us here.
We are the young they drafted out
To wars their folly brought about.
Go tell those old men, safe in bed,
We took their orders and are dead.

Big thank you (Warsaw 1705)[edit]

The Copyeditor's Barnstar
I give this one to you because of your excellent work in copy editing the article of Battle of Warsaw (1705). You understood the article really well, which could easily be spotted in your editing. You fixed the structure of the article, removed double links and took an active part in the whole context of the article, and not just the sentence you were editing at the time. Thank you. Awarded with gratitude to Gog the Mild for advising, reviewing, proof reading and generally keeping up my morale while writing and DYK-promoting the current-events articles 2010–2017 Toronto serial homicides, Death of Alloura Wells, and Murder of Tess Richey. The other half of this barnstar has been awarded to Yoninah because: teamwork! Much thanks! – Reidgreg (talk) 15:59, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

The triple-DYK had views of 15,610 (7,646 + 4,140 + 3,824) and is currently ranked No. 2 for June 2018 (though I expect that to fall; the number might be discounted slightly from today's views so unsure if it will earn a permanent place on the 15,000-view list). The two smaller articles account for more than half of the page views, so they really made a difference with the relatively dry hook. Again, much thanks! – Reidgreg (talk) 15:59, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

User:Buster7 submitted the following nomination for Editor of the Week:

Gog the Mild displays his multi-faceted nature as a Guild of Copy Editors member, a WikiGnome, and a WikiProject Military History member. He has been a Wikipedian for 5 years and one month but most recently has accelerated his editing activity (JAN2018). 55% of his 20.000 edits are to mainspace. Gog is considered by many as a kind and cooperative cohort that gives proper feedback. His many GA's, FA's and DYK's display "outstanding" maintenance work and copy editing (See Chevauchée of Edward III (1346) (GA), Gascon campaign of 1345 (FA), Battle of Bergerac (FA) or Siege of Berwick (1333) (FA). In his effort "...to keep Wikipedia neat and tidy" Gog often rescues sources and tags dead links within Wikipedia articles. He considers himself a blunt talker but only so that he can "move on" to the next task.

Editor of the Week[edit]

Editor of the Week
Your ongoing efforts to improve the encyclopedia have not gone unnoticed: You have been selected as Editor of the Week in recognition of your fellowship with others. Thank you for the great contributions! (courtesy of the Wikipedia Editor Retention Project)

User:Buster7 submitted the following nomination for Editor of the Week:

It is my pleasure to nominate Gog The Mild to receive his second Editor of the Week Award. Gog last received this award in July 2019. The scale and quality of his contributions justify a renewed recognition. It boggles the mind how many interests and topics he works on. But what I noticed was he is a fellow "Awarder". I often find him giving his self-created Appreciation Medals to fellow editors. A look at his User Contributions shows an editor constantly reaching out to fellow contributors with words (and awards) of encouragement. This award finds him in the midst of doing some volunteer work "helping a group of university students learn how to use Wikipedia". Gog signed up in 2014 but really got busy in JAN of 2018. His amazing efforts are to long to mention: take a look at his lists of promoted articles and draft main page blurbs (and, especially, its archive}, and tell me you are not impressed. He contributes to WP:DYK and 2 projects:Featured article candidates and Military History and is a coordinator at both. He finished in second place in the 2020 Military Historian of the Year Award. Of his over 50,000 edits, 21,000 are in MainSpace. He has promoted 32 Featured Articles and 81 Good Articles. Editors have acknowledged being the grateful recipients of his tactful, honest and knowledgeable advice. On top of all that, Gog is a frequent participant in the WikiCup. Thank you Gog the Mild for all you do to make this workplace pleasurable. This award was seconded by Girth Summit and Kirbopher2004.

Thanks again for your efforts! ―Buster7  15:03, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
