Hi, I'm Dan. Feel free to reminisce with me about some shiny things I've received over my years on Wikipedia, or wander around my userspace. Some observations on Wikipedia:

Carl Sagan

No place for beginners or sensitive hearts
when sentiment is left to chance
No place to be ending, but somewhere to start

Human history can be viewed as a slowly dawning awareness that we are members of a larger group ... people from divergent ethnic and cultural backgrounds [are] working in some sense together – surely a humanizing and character building experience.

Holmes examining the ground
Sherlock Holmes

You know my method. It is founded upon the observation of trifles.

We choose [these things], not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because [they] will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills
