Template talk:Non-free video screenshot

There are a lot of screenshots from online videos that people are currently using {{web-screenshot}} for, but also are not technically Vodcasts. I think we need a generic tag for video screenshots that doesn't specify much about the medium it was recorded on or how it's transmitted etc. - cohesiont 09:52, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]

So this is the correct tag to use for screenshots of, say, Happy Tree Friends and Homestar Runner? —User:ACupOfCoffee@ 21:27, 26 April 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes, that was the intention anyway :) - cohesion 07:32, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Why Category:Screenshots of movies and television then? -- TomPreuss 23:33, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That was just the best one available, if there is a more appropriate one feel free to switch it out. Ideally I think there should be a video screenshot super category, and have tv, film, vodcast etc subcats, but I am not personally very active in category space. - cohesion 08:11, 28 April 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]
What would be the best name for such a category? Category:Screenshots of videos? -- TomPreuss 00:30, 30 April 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Sounds good to me, for more info see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (categories). - cohesion 06:46, 30 April 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Alright then, I've made the change. -- TomPreuss 07:02, 30 April 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]
