Years after storms[edit]

I really don't understand why the years are after these category 5 storms. Unless another category 5 of the same name forms in the basin, the years aren't nessecary. Does anyone else agree with this? Rye998 (talk) 00:01, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's for clarification. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 02:26, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

But there has been only one of each of these category 5 storms named such, so the years aren't needed because it refers to only that category 5. If there is another category 5 hurricane Emilia or Gilma in 2012, then the years would distinguish the two storms. This isn't done on the Atlantic category 5's list, particularly on Cleo, Ethel, Edith, and Emily, so what's the big deal about having the years here? Rye998 (talk) 21:21, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
