Proposed page move[edit]

I am proposing to move this article from William Lowe (British Army officer) to W. H. M. Lowe, firstly because this is is name by which he is always known and secondly to remove the need for parantheses. I do not propose to go through WP:RM unless there is an objection here. Review[edit]

I have reviewed this article and believe that is either a B class article or very close. I have rated it a B, but I will defer if someone else believes otherwise. However, I feel it could be improved by addressing the following issues:

supporting materials: are there any images that could be added? (not always possible, I know, with copyright issues);
more information on his later life - Lowe retired in 1919 and died in 1944, what did he do in between?

Thanks, and of course these are two very good questions, but the very reason this article took so long to create is that Lowe is so much of a mystery man. As you can see, virtually the only sources for his life before 1916 are an obituary and a short Who's Who entry, while his central role in 1916 has been airbrushed out to such an extent that most people believe General Sir John Maxwell commanded the entire operation and that Lowe just happened to be walking down the street when Pearse and co. decided to surrender. As far as I know, the McNally book is the first and only book to have a biography of Lowe, and that is just a brief paragraph based on the same two sources as this article.
