Merge proposal[edit]

Sherman House (Batesville, Indiana) is the same building, so I support the February proposal to merge. Klbrain (talk) 21:15, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Klbrain, thanks for making the connection. This doesn't require a lot of discussion. The two articles were created by the same author many years apart, by coincidence, using two different valid names for the place. They should obviously be merged, I will proceed to do that. Thanks! --Doncram (talk) 21:58, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And now it has been merged, I think all is okay now. Klbrain, could you possibly please check the merge and make any further edits. And also, is there anything to be done to finish closing the merge? In my edits I have removed the merger proposal tags on both articles that were placed (apparently imperfectly somehow back in February) and were fixed by you. Thank you for your attention here. The combined article is better than either one was. --Doncram (talk) 22:15, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine; I was being somewhat formal by adding the other merge template, but don't mind the merge being done boldly without a further delay. I've reversed the talk page redirect (that isn't usually done; keeping that separate is helpful if people want to discuss re-creating pages, or to track history) and added 'merged from' and 'merged to' templates on the respective talk pages. I think that that does it. Klbrain (talk) 23:28, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for all of that. I had forgotten about the mergedto and mergedfrom notices, and more. --Doncram (talk) 00:54, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
