Article summary contradicts "Name" section of article.
Summary says "Though not named by Mendaña, it is believed that the islands were called "the Solomons" by those...". While the "Name" section says Mendaña did name it. Prime624 (talk) 05:54, 22 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The ancient native name of "Solomon Islands", should be mentioned in this article. 43.242.178.172 (talk) 12:34, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
There was no 'ancient native name' for Solomon Islands, either for the archipelago or the current nation state. There was no concept of the Solomon Islands as a cultural entity, the islands were sometimes at war with each other, or unknown to each other. Isatabu refers only to Guadalcanal and is already included in that page. Ex nihil (talk) 14:49, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
