Strange. I swear that in russian words from greek words starting with psi retain the p and s sounds: психика, псих, психология. Why does the article say that psi is pronounced as "S" in such words. In english "ps" is pronounced as "s", but there is no letter "psi" in english, and moreover, this article is discussing cyrillic.

It looks to me like someone was writing about the Greek psi, and its legacy in English loan words from Greek here, and didn't make that clear. —Michael Z. 2005-10-8 16:35 Z

Article could briefly mention what happened in 1708 to cause the letter to not be used anymore. And wouldn't it have survived for some time afterwards if it was an edict? Tempshill 05:34, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree. Either this page should be merged with Psi (letter) or Psi (letter) should be renamed to Psi (Greek). The former makes more sense, as Psi (letter) should encompass all variants of the letter in related writing systems, such as Cyrillic and Greek. — |J ~Pæst| 08:23, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
