Infobox[edit]

I'd like to update this page with the Template:Infobox City. If no one objects, I'll do so in a week or so. -- SatyrTN 04:01, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't object to the new infobox but with the new map, Plymouth is actually slightly north of where that dot is. --Prezboy1 14:50, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge discussion[edit]

Please see the WikiProject New Hampshire talk page for background on the proposed merge of the Plymouth CDP article with this article. --Ken Gallager (talk) 20:26, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Elected officials[edit]

Is it really necessary to list county, state, and federal elected officials? I could see possibly including representatives of the districts in which Plymouth is located, but at-large offices such as US Senator, POTUS, and Governor seems like overkill.Wkharrisjr (talk) 03:57, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plymouth Historical Society[edit]

Moin. Anybody got a current link? Or do they sell clothes? Which is what I get when trying to access the PHS via the external link ... Regards, --G-41614 (talk) 15:32, 11 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Updated that one and the others in the section. --Ken Gallager (talk) 13:37, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you - for some reason, I kept winding up in Plymouth, Wisconsin. --G-41614 (talk) 13:39, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Demographic statement which on person claims is immune from Wikipedia policy on verifiability[edit]

User:Ken Gallager has made the claim that the statement in this article regarding the number of college students counted in the census is uniquely immune from following Wikipedia's policy on citing sources and on verifiability and insists that it remain in the article. Ken, can you please either provide a citation for this claim or otherwise argue why this statement doesn't need a source. I'm interested to see why you think it doesn't need one. I also intend to start an RFC to seek wider clarification from the Wikipedia community on whether or not this statement can remain in the article without a source. --Jayron32 23:11, 7 November 2019 (UTC)−[reply]

Could you clarify what you wish to see cited? Is it the Census's policy that people are counted where they live, including college students? If so, I can easily supply that. If you're wishing to see that the population of the CDP is largely college student-aged, that is also not a problem. The statistics given in the demographics section indicate that three-quarters of the CDP residents are in the 18-24 age group. Would that be sufficient? Granted that the table doesn't specifically say they're Plymouth State students. By the way, I appreciate all your edits to articles around the state. I just didn't want your belief that the Census doesn't count students where they live to go unchallenged. --Ken Gallager (talk) 13:21, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I converted it to a verifiable statement. --Ken Gallager (talk) 13:28, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Ken Gallager:. I realize I got really rude there, and I want to apologize for it. You're consistently one of the best editors at Wikipedia, and you didn't deserve that treatment. I'm sorry that I acted that way. The article is much better. I also want to return the compliment; your work on New Hampshire topics is always great. Anyways, sorry I got so snippy, and carry on! --Jayron32 13:39, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, and thanks again! --Ken Gallager (talk) 14:06, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
