Talk:New York v. United States

Hello, and a good start to the page. Here are my recommendations:

  • Separate the opinion itself from the "Background" section. In para. 2 of the background, the article starts discussing the opinion. This paragraph should mention the three incentives, and which ones were challenged - if the rationale for the challenges is different from the rationale of the opinion and dissent, I would note that here (but it's probably not the case).
  • Create an "Opinion of the Court" section. Put the stuff taken out of Background here - tell us what the decision was and what the rationale was. Make the Take Title Provision section a sub-section (three ='s) of this new section. The last paragraph of this section probably stands on its own, however.
  • Pinpoint cite the direct quotes from the case.
  • I'm not positive on this, but I think that the See Also section shouldn't be links to lists/categories - it's more of relevant things to the subject of the article, e.g. in this case the WP article on the act - which doesn't exist. I don't think that presence in the same volume of the U.S. reports really is relevant.Manumitany (talk) 00:32, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
