Article was moved to mainspace in time and is adequately long and sourced. QPQ remains pending. The hooks are cited inline; however the article doesn't explicitly mention her being a "competitive skier". In addition, one of the sources (the "archives" one) gives a 404 error, while the other source makes no mention of her skiing career. Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew 08:38, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Narutolovehinata5, she skied for the University of Vermont, as mentioned in the article. How better could it be worded? I corrected the link for the 404 error. QPQ forthcoming. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:47, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe the hook could instead say that she skied for the UV rather than the "competitive" wording? Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew
Muboshgu, this was nominated four weeks ago and the QPQ has still not been supplied. We need to hear from you in the next few days if you wish to continue with this nomination. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:32, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
BlueMoonset, my apologies, I thought I was caught up on QPQs. I'll prioritize this today. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:57, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, so I just rechecked the sources and while it does mention her skiing career, neither of the sources appear to mention the Catamounts (and indeed Vermont University) by name. Perhaps ALT1 was the better option after all, so I'm now leaning towards that instead. Although this is optional, would you be okay with linking to Bob Gray in the "Olympic skier" part? The hook can still run without it, it's merely a suggestion. Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew 11:57, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Narutolovehinata5, this source says In addition, the Newbury native, who grew up on her parents' vegetable and dairy farm there, is a graduate of the University of Vermont and Vermont Law School, and was a cross-country ski racer during high school and participated in Division I events while in college. Her campaign site says She attended the University of Vermont on an athletic scholarship and competed as a Division I cross-country skier. You're right that it doesn't mention the Catamounts by name, but that is the nickname for the University of Vermont's athletic teams, which does compete at the NCAA Division I level. Totally fine to link to Bob Gray. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:13, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Mubogshgu: That sounds good. One last question before I approve this: when does her term of office start? Would you be fine with a special occasion appearance for that date? Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew 17:37, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. This is technically good to go, we will just need a date-appropriate rewording for ALT1 assuming the request is approved. Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew 02:36, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Narutolovehinata5, that's easy enough. If this goes up on January 7 or after, we take out the "-elect". – Muboshgu (talk) 02:59, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, as the preps for January 7 is already starting to be prepared, I'll be approving ALT1 and leaving it to the promoter to make the date-appropriate changes if needed. Courtesy ping YoninahNarutolovehinata5tccsdnew 13:17, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Since January 7 in the U.S. falls on January 8 00:00 UTC, I'm promoting this to Prep 5. Yoninah (talk) 20:28, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
