This is someone inaccurate, not all of the military history of China was about the PLA and Republic of China armies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.204.145.58 (talk) 03:02, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Large parts of Chinese military history are missing. There's no mention of the Korean War, invasion of Tibet Battle of Chamdo, Sino-Vietnamese War, annexation of the Parcel islands Battle of the Paracel Islands ... It would also be nice to see some analysis of Chinese military spending, perhaps as a percentage of GDP: contrary to what this article states, it seems to be fairly steady at a little over 2%, thus growing at say 8% as the economy increases. At the same time, I understand there's a move from low-tech and mass conscription to an all volunteer professional army equipped to a high standard.

Change from Disambig to Broad-concept article?[edit]

Friends;

If I am not mistaken, this page should not be a Disambiguation Page, but a Broad-concept article, as explained at WP:DISAMBIG, in the section WP:CONCEPTDAB:

If the primary meaning of a term proposed for disambiguation is a broad concept or type of thing that is capable of being described in an article, and a substantial portion of the links asserted to be ambiguous are instances or examples of that concept or type, then the page located at that title should be an article describing it, and not a disambiguation page.

The advantage of a BCA is that according to WP:DABNOINCLUDE a DISAMBIG page does not have explanatory text or references.

If nobody objects in a week or so, I will change to BCA, add Category:Broad-concept articles, and re-organize the text.ch (talk) 18:42, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and changed this article to class=start. It still needs a great deal of work.--Dthomsen8 (talk) 13:33, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
