Re-write[edit]

I would like to make improving this Wiki my next Wikipedia project, primarily just by filling it out with some more detail. There's a lot of information on the Web that could be represented here. Does anyone have some particular information or source on - for example - a segment of his life that's missing from the Wiki? — Preceding unsigned comment added by King4057 (talkcontribs) 22:52, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it only took me 1 month, but I have finally rewritten this Wiki. Very little is available online about his term as mayor because it was so long ago, but the local papers have plenty to offer and there's a lot on his scuffle with Roger & Me out there.

I know this is a Wiki on a political figure, so there are some special rules, and I'd like to invite people to review the draft Wiki posted my user page before I post it here live. I'm still giving it some final polishing and review now and would appreciate any contributions.

A few items to work on: section headers should be in sentence case. Years aren't linked. State names should be spelled out instead of abbreviated, and when used in a "city, state" phrase should be followed by a comma. "BS" should be spelled out, too, along with other abbreviations. Linking common words, like "strong", is unhelpful. (In that case, the link should be to Mayor–council government, the "strong mayor" system). Titles of newspaper, magazines, journals and films should be italicized. The "Controversy" section is written in a roundabout fashion. Who cares when Michael Moore was born? Sometimes the subject is referred to as "Matt" and other times as "Matthew" - it should be consistent.   Will Beback  talk  20:41, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Symark/BeyondTrust[edit]

Symark changed their company name to BeyondTrust Symark International buys BeyondTrust

Shouldn't we change references to Symark to BeyondTrust?

The Symark Wiki automatically forwards to the BeyondTrust Wiki, but I think we should change the text in this Wiki as to not reference a company that no longer exists.

I added a reference to BeyondTrust to the article. Since it was called Symark when he was there, I think it is proper to continue referring to it that way on his Bio. Have fun! —Mrand TalkC 19:12, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
