Name in English[edit]

The name should be "Potsdam Astrophysical Institute". Putting "Potsdam" at the end, with no preposition, is Germish. Likewise "Potsdam Astrophysical Observatory." —Wegesrand (talk) 15:26, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

They were way ahead of you. Of course the sense of "Astrophysical Institute Potsdam" was to make the acronym work in both languages. But now they have changed the name to "Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics Potsdam", so the acronym doesn't work as such in either language, and of course the lovely Germish flavour is even further emphasized.
