Band Notability[edit]

Japanese Cartoon is a legitimate band created by the hip-hop star Lupe Fiasco (Wasalu Jaco). They posted on their Facebook fan page to have the fans create the Wikipedia page for them and they rightfully deserve one—Preceding unsigned comment added by Xfactor0693 (talkcontribs)

Please have a read of WP:BAND: there's nothing here showing that they're notable yet, but when the band does become notable, then please come back and create an article about them at Japanese Cartoon. Thanks, Empty Buffer (talk) 09:49, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Would this list of combined music sources make them notable to Wikipedia? http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=japanese+cartoon+in+the+jaws&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.74.138.67 (talk) 09:55, 24 July 2010 (UTC) Would this MTV article make them notable? Thanks http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1602048/20090105/fiasco__lupe.jhtml Also how about multiple videos on the bands music on youtube.com: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=japanese+cartoon+lupe&aq=f —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.74.138.67 (talk) 09:58, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I believe that's enough info to satisfy condition 1 under the band rules. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xfactor0693 (talkcontribs) 10:07, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In addition the band was created and is currently fronted by Grammy Award Winning and Multiple Time Grammy Award Nominated Artist Lupe Fiasco —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.74.138.67 (talk) 10:35, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An array of new multiple notable sources have been added to the page. Please check and revert. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.74.138.67 (talk) 11:39, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can owner of this article please change the title to "Japanese Cartoon" instead of "Japanese cartoon" please? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.74.140.121 (talk) 20:50, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I switched all of the information over to "Japanese Cartoon" rather than "Japanese cartoon" with a lower case C —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xfactor0693 (talkcontribs) 06:25, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Another group that Japanese Cartoon has worked with is The Prodigy (an electronic dance music group), with the song "Invaders Must Die" (http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=440389226&blogId=461596578) Xfactor0693 (talk) 05:41, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • AFD general consensus has returned in favor of KEEP. Thanks to all that have contributed to this outcome. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.255.76.15 (talk) 07:22, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Move?[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: rename to Japanese Cartoon (band).   -- Lear's Fool 01:12, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese cartoonJapanese Cartoon

  • Correct capitalisation for a musical artist. Japanese Cartoon was created as a copy-and-paste move, but has now been changed to a redirect to the original page until a delete-and-move can be arrange. NB, article is currently at AfD here   -- Lear's Fool 06:33, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I did not post this here, this is a request I made at WP:RM for Japanese Cartoon to be deleted to make way for the move that Xfactor0693 (talk · contribs) had initially made by cut-and-paste, and was never intended to be the beginning of a move discussion. Rather, I was simply asking for administrator assistance to perform a task that I cannot. In light of this, I have been bold and moved the page to Japanese Cartoon (band), and have posted a note to this effect on the AfD page.  -- Lear's Fool 01:04, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

Official Website[edit]

Where did it go? The link to allsabotage.com no longer seems valid. It would have been nice if someone had taken as screen shot of the site while it was still alive. There's no longer a trace of the site's existence.
