I propose that Guanín (Taíno) and Guanín (bronze) both be merged into Guanín. These two articles seem to be on the same topic. The third item now on the disambiguation page here is irrelevant and it is implausible that anyone looking for Guanine would enter Guanín. — Anomalocaris (talk) 19:11, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

On reflection, I think Guanín should be deleted, Guanín (bronze) should be moved to Guanín, and Guanín (Taíno) merged into it. That would do the best to preserve editing history. —Anomalocaris (talk) 21:01, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
(revised comment) Support. I have undone some edits by inexperienced editors (and some vandalism). An anon editor (Special:Contributions/72.82.234.148) had edited Guanín (Taíno), then copied his version of the lead sentence and inserted it at the start of Guanín (bronze), giving the impression that both pages were about the Taíno medallion. Removing that insertion, we can now see again that Guanín (Taíno) is about a medallion whereas Guanín (bronze) is about an alloy. However, the medallions were made of the alloy, and external sources such as Encyclopedia of Puerto Rico[1] treat the two topics together. – Fayenatic London 11:05, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
As for the disambiguation page Guanín, note that Guanin (with dot not accent) redirects here and is not implausible for guanine. As it is an older page, copy and paste Guanín back to the older page Guanin, which was originally the earliest page about the topic Guanín (Taíno). – Fayenatic London 21:34, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree, in part. Merging Guanín (Taíno) and Guanín (bronze) would be akin to merging Medal and Metal because both involve metals. Guanín (bronze) should be merged into Guanín with a note about Guanine.--Auric talk 21:30, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Comment. Guanin (Fish), which redirects here, is currently being discussed at Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2016_February_4#Guanin (Fish). If the articles are merged into here, Guanine should probably be hatnoted as a {{confused}}. Si Trew (talk) 04:03, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Guanin unknown in Germany... ;)[edit]

It's incredible, but the german Wikiside don't knows this famous muisca people of colombia alloy guanin...
