Year of death[edit]

Which is the source for the year 1697? The only reference provided says 1698. User:Ejrrjs says What? 19:19, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When I checked this article some time ago, I used my limited Italian and look at [1], where it says "La morte colse il grande scienziato aretino la notte del 1° marzo 1697, in seguito ad un attacco apoplettico." Also EB-online says 1697. Awolf002 19:28, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism detected in this article[edit]

Some peanut lover, was messing up with the jar contents of the original experiment. I have corrected it and reviewed the refernces. Ref 3 provides further references to other books. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GabrielFreiria (talkcontribs) 17:48, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
