pGEX promoter[edit]

"Examples of E. coli expression vectors are the pGEX series of vectors where glutathione-S-transferase is used as a fusion partner, and the pET series of vectors which uses a T7 promoter." Both pGEX and pET vectors have a T7 promoter. This sentence implies that only pET vectors do. I changed it. --Felix Tritschler (talk) 20:29, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I believe you are wrong here. See for example here where it says the promoter is tac (i.e. a fusion of lac and trp) promoter. Since this is a commercial site selling the product, I would be inclined to believe it to be true, but if you have other sources that say otherwise do give them. For now the edit will be reverted since there are many sources that say it is not T7. Hzh (talk) 21:21, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for pointing that out, sorry for the confusion, I was wrong.
