The article on demography has a section on data but nothing on demographic analysis, and as this is an important part of demography it needs its own page. So I and a number of other people are working on creating a whole page on demographic analysis. Please give us time and do not hastily delete this new page.

seems like the demographic book-keeping section requires some definitions of the letters and terms in the equations, and a bit more background on what demographic book-keeping is. --Htw3 19:37, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article on Demographic Analysis warrants its own page on wikipedia instead of just redirecting to Demography. The methods utilized by Demographic Analysis are used across many different fields of study, not limited to those defined in the Demography article. Demographic_analysis#Standardization_of_population_numbers[edit]

The section Demographic_analysis#Standardization_of_population_numbers talks about when direct standardization can be used and when indirect standardization can be used, but it never tells us what direct standardization and indirect standardization are.
