Date of birth[edit]

As the sources reporting her death are only reporting her year of birth (example), is there any objection to simply including "1979" until a reliable source emerges with the exact day and month? --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 21:20, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Defne's birthday is September 2. I found her twitter page where she wrote "tomorrow is my birthday" on September 1 and "today is my birthday" on September 2.[1] I also think her year of birth is also incorrect. On the day when she died, i was watching news about her death and a Turkish reporter Saba Tümer said "Defne was 36 years old. She came to my show a week ago before her death and i asked her age and she said i'm 36." --Hürrem (talk) 11:50, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I found another source: Pınar Esen, Defne's close friend and a reporter, said we were together in New Year's Eve and a video showing their photos from that night broadcasted. In the end, Defne's birthday was written as 2 Eylül 1975 (2 September 1975).[2] --Hürrem (talk) 12:18, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The CNN news report definitely lists her birthdate as 2 September 1975 at the end of the news report. That certainly does seem like strong evidence to me. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 14:43, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
