Untitled[edit]

I've been contemplating this page for a while now. Clearly it needs reference to the paramountcy of welfare, delay principle, no order principle and welfare checklist. My problem is where to go as regards section 8 orders. Contact and even more so residence are already covered, but nothing on Specific Issue or Prohibited Steps. What I'm looking for is some ideas as to how to structure the content of the page(s) in the most logical way. Is it wise to duplicate content?

The existing practise in other areas is to cover a sub topic only in sifficient depth to allow it to be understood. A link to a "main article" can be done with the template called "main". This is very common in history and geography articles where say a story on "The role of the police during event X" may be a complete article it would only be linked into the article about "event X". Hope that helps. Victuallers (talk) 00:06, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re-writing - Help needed[edit]

Hello, I am in the process of trying to re-write this article and would appreciate any help! Please have a nosy at my sandbox and let me know what you think. I realise this is going to be a huge article and I want to make sure its in the most user friendly format. Please let me know if you can help or think there is anything that really needs to go into it. Thanks very much, Staceydolxx (talk) 14:11, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

After discovering most of the text was copied from law firm websites; I decided to speed up my process of re-writing this article. It will take me some time to complete it and I am still looking for some help! If there is anything in the article that is missing that people think urgently needs to go in; let me know! Thanks =) Staceydolxx (talk) 13:31, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox[edit]

I have added an info box to the article but I am not sure if this is completed properly. If anyone can have a look it would be much appreciated Staceydolxx (talk) 13:37, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can't understand this[edit]

"The child, parents and other relevant people should be consulted in the decision-making process regarding a child become looked after ..." Is there something missing before "become"? Eric Corbett 11:41, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's meant to be "that becomes", but I've rephrased a bit. Does it make any more sense now? WormTT(talk) 11:54, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yup, I understand what it's saying now. Eric Corbett 12:05, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

POV[edit]

This article reads like an advertisement. Added template. --Mr. Guye (talk) 22:41, 5 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I will be removing that template as I strongly disagree that it reads as an advertisement!? How can something appear to be advertising an piece of legislation? - It is factual and uses no opinionated language that I can see? If you disagree with me please do explain and I will try to change the areas you have issue with ツStacey (talk) 10:45, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Perspectives Needed[edit]

I just assessed this for WikiProject Social Work, and the description of the law's contents looks pretty good to me. However, this article is sorely lacking perspectives on the law. Who was for it and who was against it and why? What unintended consequences has it had? What laws have since modified it, and what problems were they intended to solve?
