European 'Paramount Comedy' tv channels[edit]

After Viacom's split, who is the owner of European 'Paramount Comedy' tv channels?

UK-based MTV Networks Europe owns the 'Paramount Comedy' channels, so that would be the new Viacom. Basically all operations outside the US, are now part of the new Viacom under it's MTV Networks subsidiaries. --81.63.23.196 00:30, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Various News outlets are reporting that CBS corp is suing the redstones over the handling of the CBS/Viacom deal as of May 2018. Also Bylaws are being discussed for a change here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.169.130.165 (talk) 21:49, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Corporation / Corp[edit]

I think this article should be reverted to the "CBS Corporation" title. No one refers to this company as "CBS Corp." -- it's almost always (or exclusively?) referred to with the longer name. It sounds weird without it. The logo references the entire name as well. Jkatzen 07:51, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The CW[edit]

The CW is not exactly a merger of UPN and The WB. CBS Corporation and Warner Brothers will discontinue UPN and The WB, and launch a new network, The CW, as a joint venture. It's important to distinguish this from a merger, because it has important implications for affiliates of the two old networks: many affiliates will lose their network affiliation, since there will be one fewer network.

Unbelievable[edit]

I think the various names Westinghouse/CBS/Viacom are well explained here, well done to everyone involved. But does anyone else agree that the various companies are taking the #### by constantly changing the names? Say CBS and you now have to ask, do you mean the old network, the renamed Westinghouse, the (old) Viacom subsidiary or the new CBS which is in fact the (old) Viacom minus the new Viacom. There was also "CBS Nuclear" in there somewhere. Unbelievable. --Mark83 22:32, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Little Rock for real?[edit]

  • Is it true that CBS is acquiring KTHV and KASN? No wonder they sold all those other stations! WizardDuck 17:17, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Corporate structure[edit]

So there is CBS Paramount Network Television and CBS Television Distribution. Is one really a division of the other, or are they sibling divisions of CBS Corporation ? Sources? —MJBurrage(TC) 00:20, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Merger with pending" additions in infobox here and on Viacom (2005–present) articles[edit]

These should cease until we have a consensus for the addition to any article; we have no idea of either corporate structure and how they'll work as one currently. Nate (chatter) 01:33, 15 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
