Black Cat Bar in L.A.[edit]

Hi. I'm still not proficient at operating all the bells & whistles in Wikipedia. Currently, the link to Black Cat Bar refers only to the old one in San Francisco. I'd like to start either a new section or a new page for the former Black Cat Bar in Los Angeles, scene of a regionally-important police raid on 1 Jan, 1967. I'm not quite sure how to do this. Would appreciate a message from someone or an assist at doing this. Hope someone sees this fairly soon. Thanks!--mujerado 07:39, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • A different bar, unless it's part of a franchise, should have a separate article. Otto4711 14:16, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review[edit]

This review is transcluded from Talk:Black Cat Bar/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

I'll be doing the GA review for this article. Here are some suggestions for improvement:

  • Is there an infobox for bars? I found one for restaurants that might work (Template:Infobox Restaurant).
  • "Image courtesy of the San Francisco History Center, San Francisco Public Library" - This would be better on the image page rather than in the caption.

There are also a few minor MoS errors, but I'll fix those when I have a bit more time. Nikki311 20:19, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I can add the infobox, no problem. As for the caption, it is required under the usage agreement by the library so it must appear with the photos. Otto4711 (talk) 22:10, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I added the infobox but honestly I don't think it adds anything useful to the article. Otto4711 (talk) 22:19, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Credits in captions are discouraged. See WP:CAPTION#Credits, but I guess it isn't that big of a deal. It is a guideline (rather than a policy), so don't worry about it. Nikki311 02:50, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyedit done. The sources and info all look good, and I believe the article meets all the GA criteria. Pass. Nikki311 03:02, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
