POV[edit]

This is a POV article and needs to be wikified. A few comments:

  • "Sworn enemy of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA)" -- That is a pretty bold statement. Cite sources to back it up or remove it.
  • "Its members participate in jet-setting around the world under the guise of academic medecine." (sic) -- This is a rather inflamitory statement and again, unless you can cite a reliable source This should be removed.
  • "a chosen few of the top GI doctors throughout the United States have had the honor of leading the college in an ethical, academic, administrative and spiritual manner towards better doctoring." -- Now I'm just confused, you attack them in the previous paragraph, and now you appear to be praising them? I'm not advocating a POV skew here, but it appears the author isn't even sure which side they are on.
  • "The college's first female President was Christina Surawicz, M.D." -- Why is this relevent? Were they the first Gastroenterological to have a woman president? If you are only going to make mention of the current president and the first female president, at least include some context as to why it is pertinant.
  • You should start your Article with the name in bold. E.g. American College of Gastroenterology is a society founded in 1932 that serves to advance the scientific study and medical practice of diseases...

I don't know anything about ACG, or I'd just clean this up myself. Please fix your article.Isotope23 17:42, 28 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"More than 12,0000 physicians from 82 countries are members of the ACG." "12,0000" is a confusing number. Should it be 12,000, or 120,000? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.77.182.221 (talk) 16:51, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
