Norway[edit]

The "Alliansen" pharmacies in Norway are now remodeling, changing color schemes and some lines of products and are reopening under the name Boots. Truth be told, my local Alliansen was more inviting and less cluttered before the change to Boots; they had to make room for a great many more "beauty" products. Article Improvements[edit]

Hello. As some of you may be aware, there are a few minor factual inaccuracies that should be reviewed and corrected in this article. In the interest of transparency I am declaring that I work for Alliance Boots. I hope to work with external editors to ensure that this Wikipedia article is accurate.


My suggested changes are:


Introductory paragraph

This section of the article would benefit from better clarification of what Alliance Healthcare does and its international presence. I've written content which I think could be included within the current section alongside relevant reference for verification. Could someone could please review this point and let me know their feedback. Thank you.

Please replace the second sentence: “The company serves pharmacies… and Switzerland” with “The company supplies more than 170,000 pharmacies, doctors, health centres and hospitals from over 370 distribution centres in 20 countries (at 31 March 2013). (Reference: http://www.allianceboots.com/our-group/pharmaceutical-wholesale.aspx)


Side Bar

One detail in the article side bar is incorrect. Here is the change with relevant reference for verification:

Key People: Please update to say “Ornella Barra, (Chief Executive of Wholesale and Brands of Alliance Boots)” (Reference: http://www.fortunechina.com/career/c/2014-02/14/content_193558.htm)

I have requested the above change because this overall Wikipedia page is about the whole Alliance Healthcare business, rather than just the UK business. Alliance Healthcare is present in 20 countries and Ornella Barra is responsible for this international presence, whereas Jeremy Main is just Managing Director in the UK.

This section of the article would also benefit from the inclusion of additional Alliance Healthcare countries that are currently not mentioned and the omission of other countries which do not have an Alliance Healthcare-supplied pharmacy presence. I've written content which I think could be included within the current section alongside a relevant reference for verification. Could someone could please review this point and let me know their feedback. Thank you.
