Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (information on this company is a part of comic history) --73.173.65.43 (talk) 06:44, 27 January 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

  • There is notability but this is wildly, wildly promotional. I'm writing up a non-promotional version to transfer over, since the current version here is so promotional that it'd warrant a deletion for that alone. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:52, 27 January 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • @Gbawden:, I've declined the speedy since the award is enough to assert notability. Since it's an Eisner Award, it's probably enough to pass notability guidelines as a whole on that basis alone, although you can take it to AfD if you want. I've deleted the prior version of the article since it was incredibly promotional to where it could have been deleted as WP:G11, unambiguous promotion. I'd like to ask that nobody re-instate that material, as Wikipedia is not Yelp and as such comments about the things like the staff's helpfulness is going to be seen as promotion. • Thanks - you have done a great job Gbawden (talk) 08:34, 27 January 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
