Alberta's Heritage Savings Trust Fund (HSTF)[edit]

In March 2015 a query "Alberta's Heritage Savings Trust Fund" directs to this article. However, the Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) and Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund (HSTF), a Sovereign Wealth Fund,[1][2] are not the same. AIMCo established in 2008, manages HSTF, along with pension funds, etc as an investment fund manager. Alberta's Heritage Savings Trust Fund (HSTF) merits its own wiki article. HSTF was established by then-Alberta Premier Peter Lougheed, PC CC AOE QC, and operates under the authority of the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund Act, Chapter A-23, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000 (the Act), as amended. The preamble to the Act describes the mission of the Fund as follows: “To provide prudent stewardship of the savings from Alberta’s non-renewable resources by providing the greatest financial returns on those savings for current and future generations of Albertans.”[3] Oceanflynn (talk) 14:49, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
