I'm not too familiar with the protocol on these things, but is it really within the scope of this page to list every song or album entitled "Albatross?"SoManyWhales (talk) 01:50, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On a somewhat related note: Is the mention of an albatross in the Pink Floyd song really using it as a metaphor (as in this article) or does it just happen to be the word they picked? VernoWhitney (talk) 19:28, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If the purpose is to add either intellectual history to the interpretation of the metaphor or usage notes for the concept etymology of the word, the songs are a useful addition and do not subtract from the overall project to define the core of the metaphor as in the beginning of the entry. --Grizanthropy (talk) 16:11, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003)", someone tries to shoot an albatross that is following the ship, but the good doctor gets shot on accident. Seems like an appropriate addition to the list of films, no? Unjedai (talk) 17:36, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
