go ahead and delete this[edit]

in fact, feel free to delete the records for the first two books. the first of this trilogy is a stupid Resident Evil clone. i want back the hours of my life I wasted on reading this rubbish --Zimriel (talk) 00:39, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Actually, I discovered that the first book has more than enough cites to merit it being kept and I'm also finding more than enough for the second book. The deletion of this article (Abaddon's Gate) might just be temporary if/when (and it looks to be a matter of when and not if) the book gets coverage later on, and since you're sort of endorsing the deletion I'm thinking that I'm going to redirect this to Leviathan Wakes for right now. That way when this is released and gets the coverage, we have the history already available. I think I'll prep the article beforehand just so it's ready to be un-redirected.Tokyogirl79 (talk) 04:24, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think this now is clearly notable enough to merit a page. This is a very popular series, and there are plenty of positive reviews of it (a quick search found a high rank on amazon, as well as a good review on io9, among other things). If no one complains, I'm going to go ahead and revive the article now that the book has been released. Licensedlunacy (talk) 01:38, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Plot" section comprises character sketches, not a plot synopsis[edit]

Maybe the section should be renamed "Main" or "Primary Characters". Best regardsTheBaron0530 (talk) 21:14, 1 February 2017 (UTC)theBaron0530[reply]

Please disregard; on a second, more careful reading, I see that the section is organized to describe those parts of the plot pertaining to the character. Best regardsTheBaron0530 (talk) 21:26, 1 February 2017 (UTC)theBaron0530[reply]
Please don't disregard, and see tag added today. The Plot summary section is deficient, and the Characters section is overly descriptive of plot elements. The article is therefore oddly and unhelpfully structured. 174.81.118.154 (talk) 12:04, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to Abaddon as biblical place of destruction?[edit]

Is it worth it to add a reference to the Wikipedia article on Abaddon and its context in Scripture as a place of destruction? I don't know if it passes the original research test, or if it helps to clarify a connotation in the title and the content of the novel. Best regardsTheBaron0530 (talk) 14:51, 27 March 2017 (UTC)theBaron0530[reply]

It would be nice to include text to explain the title not just a wikilink to Abaddon but I think that would require a good reference. I looked and haven't found a suitable reference yet, but I did find a post from Daniel Abraham where he said the title had been Dandelion Sky before it was changed to Abaddon's Gate (and that it was not related to Warhammer 40,000). -- 109.79.174.193 (talk) 02:22, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
