Damon Ray Leichty (born 1971) is an American lawyer from Indiana who is a nominee to become a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.

Education and career

Leichty earned his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Wabash College, a Master of Letters from the University of Aberdeen, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law.[1]

After graduation from law school, Leichty served as a law clerk to Judge Robert Lowell Miller Jr. of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. He went on to join Barnes & Thornburg as an associate. He is currently a partner at that firm, where his practice focuses on complex civil litigation, including federal products liability cases.[1]

Leichty is currently an adjunct professor at Notre Dame Law School, where he teaches product liability law.[2] He has taught there since 2017.
