Summary[edit]

Legend: Linguistic map of pre-Roman Iberian peninsula, showing the three main linguistic areas (and some of the major tribes) and leaving blank the uncertain (possibly pre-Indo-European) areas in the North. Black dots represent Oriental colonies (Emporion being Greek and the rest all Phoenician).

Note: some authors call Tartessian "Western" or "Southern Iberian" and Iberian "Eastern" or "Northern Iberian".
