Description

Artist's depiction of house built by the Cape Ann party in 1624 at what is now Stage Fort Park in Gloucester; used by Roger Conant as governor. House was moved to Salem, MA in 1628 under his successor John Endecott. This drawing shows the house after renovations of 1792 that added another floor and facing material.
