Grön vas från Kina gjord 1127-1279.
Nyckelord: Vas
Description
Svenska: VAS (vrakgods). Godset grått, synligt i fotkanten. Longquan ware black stoneware vase with celadon glazeSong dynasty, 12th-13th centuryThe vase is in fact a ”kiln waster”, with a broken foot and fragments of kiln grit stuck to its glaze. However, it is an interesting piece because it is an example of ceramics made at Longquan for the imperial court, in the style of official Guan ware. During the Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279) special kilns were established in the imperial city (Hangzhou) to make ceramics for the palace. These ceramics were black and thin-bodied, with multiple layers of lustrous celadon glaze. Sometimes large orders for imperial wares could not be fulfilled by the official kilns, and then officials sent south for help with the order, from Longquan. The Hallwyl vase has an elegant shape with a pierced foot like Guan ware, a thin black body, and thick glaze. This is quite unlike other Longquan wares.
