English: The famous Goraksha or Ratnanath or Chaughara temple is located at a place called Chaughara in Ghorahi sub-metropolis of Dang district. The monastery is believed to have been built by Ratnanath, a disciple of Lord Gorkhanath. After the settlement of Dang, Manijya became the king. His son Ratnaparikshak also became king. Raja Ratna Parikshak had a vision of Gorakhnath while he was out hunting. It was after Gorakhnath's philosophy that he became Siddha. He later became Siddharatnath. This monastery was built in the memory of Siddharatnath. Although it was established in 809 BCE in a book called Siddha Ratnanath, the temple is still being researched. This peak style monastery is 60 feet high and about 258 x 25 feet square. In this monastery, there are four stone lion statues in four corners. The gate of this temple is made of gold.

In this monastery there is a statue of Gorakhnath sitting on a 1.5 feet high throne, a very attractive statue of Machhindranath standing on a black stone 1.5 feet tall with 4 arms holding a lotus in his hands, a statue of Siddharatnath holding a nectar in his hand There are four idols, including a 3-foot-tall, four-armed Siddha Asana. Similarly, there is a statue of Bhairav in the fourth room of the temple with a weapon of Balasundari Devi. There is a guthi for running the monastery. Food, worship, etc. of the saints. There is also a guest house and a dormitory. The abbot of this monastery has a tradition of not being allowed to go out of the compound for one year. In this temple worship is done according to Tantric method. Earlier it was customary to offer animal sacrifices to Bhairav and Bhagwati, but now Kubindo, radish etc. are offered. A grand fair is held here on Bijaya Ekadashi in the month of Fagun. Hindus and Muslims alike participate in this fair. Muslims pay homage to Haji Ratnanath Baba and accompany him to the fair. Accepting this monastery as a common pilgrimage site for Hindus and Muslims, they worship, recite and pray. Ratnanath had the power to worship Dev Patan of Kathmandu and the temple here at the same time every day. It is said that this is the introspection that took place while worshiping and bringing Gorkhapatra. Ratnanath, who received the title "Peer" from the Arab kings, meaning "Siddha" in the Muslim language, has great reverence and devotion. In this temple, 10 yogis worship daily. The daily worship here is in the form of Goddess Gorakshapatra.

In the premises of this temple, there is a new and magnificent temple of a new style built in the year 2060 BS. This temple belongs to Guru Goraksanath. Statues of Adinath and Machhendranath are placed on the right and left side of the temple door. Inside the temple, there is a statue of Udayanath on the north side. Statues of Santoshi Nath and Amarnath are placed on the east wall of the temple. To the south are the idols of Charanginath and Ganakasthanath. There is a study room at the back of the temple and houses for saints and guests have been built there. There is even a meeting hall that has been held here since ancient times. In which pictures of various saints, mahatmas, gods, deities and respected people are also kept. At the forefront of this temple complex is a temple with a five-faced Shivalinga. There is also a beautiful garden in the temple premises where there is an ancient plant of Chuva flower which is in a spectacular view. Which the devotees even worship. There is also an ancient well nearby, where the water is very clean and clear. This place is considered as a historical place.
