Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because the reasons for its previous deletion--about which the editors then seemed on the fence-- have been addressed through revisions. The main issue, previously, concerned not the importance of Daily Nous, but rather whether the right kinds of references to it existed and so could be cited. Since its earlier deletion, at least two significant citations have been added. One is a reference from the New York Times identifying Daily Nous as "popular philosophy news site." This added to the already existing and cited references to Daily Nous in similar terms by other media outlets. The other was a reference to a Quillette article about a Daily Nous discussion. I see that this reference was removed by an editor in June because Quillette is not considered reliable; however, Quillette was not being cited to establish any particular fact; rather, it was cited as an example of an article about Daily Nous. I would argue for reinserting the citation. I know Wikipedia has its ways, yet it is strange to me that the primary news and discussion site for an entire academic discipline, which has been referenced repeatedly in mainstream media and academic work, should not have a Wikipedia page.
