Previously deleted article[edit]

@Figbiscuits: You have contested the speedy deletion of this article, at least twice, which was previously deleted via a deletion process, without actually explaining what justifies its recreation now. You also moved this page from draft to main article space after it was declined an AfC submission. Please explain all the reasons why you are contesting this deletion. Simply contesting the deletion templates is not enough now, at it looks like an edit war is brewing. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 10:14, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is significant coverage in independent, reliable sources.
"If an editor other than the creator removes a speedy deletion tag in good faith, it should be taken as a sign that the deletion is controversial and another deletion process should be used." WP:CSD Figbiscuits (talk) 10:34, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Figbiscuits: Then please cite them in the article and explain how the criteria for event notability has been met, especially in terms of lasting effects, and continuing coverage over the years. Wikipedia is not a news website, so significant coverage alone is insufficient, if it only amounts to a routine news report. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 10:45, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I think I understand what has happened to this article. This article was deleted in 2008 and then requested to be undeleted in 2022 and moved to draft space for improvement. After being rejected for inclusion in Wikipedia on 11 August 2023, it was moved to article space on 5 October 2023, where upon it was proposed for speedy deletion, twice, before being moved back to draft space with the explanation that the article "Wasn't ready for mainspace yet - note that G4 does not apply to this draft, it has been expanded from the article deleted in 2008." The learning from this? Please do not promote a draft article to main article space contrary to the AfC process. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 08:55, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Include in List of mass shootings in the United States[edit]

I think it would be a good idea to at least include this incident in the list of mass shootings in the United States - Cameron Dewe (talk) 10:37, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
