Why is this a subtopic of human rights?[edit]

The article on civil rights states that they are distinguished from human rights as they are granted by the state, rather than being innate, as human rights are. So it would appear that not all civil rights are human rights. Not all states grant their members the rights that are commonly called human rights, so it doesn't appear that human rights should be a subcategory of civil rights. So it seems they should both be subcategories of rights, but neither one a subcategory of the other. Zodon (talk) 03:16, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
