1964 Birthday Honours

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Queen's Birthday Honours 1964 were appointments in many of the Commonwealth realms of Queen Elizabeth II to various orders and honours to reward and highlight good works by citizens of those countries.

The appointments were made to celebrate the official birthday of The Queen. They were announced on 13 June 1964 for the United Kingdom,[1] Australia,[2] New Zealand,[3] Sierra Leone,[4] and Jamaica.[5]

The recipients of honours are displayed here as they were styled before their new honour, and arranged by honour, with classes (Knight, Knight Grand Cross, etc.) and then divisions (Military, Civil, etc.) as appropriate.
